  • ways to stay up-to-date on current evidence based practice.
  • how to work with my physicians in a productive manner.

Barb Coleman CPNP, Educator

Barb has worked in the role of advance practice nurse for many years in the emergent care setting.  She also has been teaching pediatric nursing at Sinclair Community College for over 20 years.  She is very knowledgable in providing care to all ages of children.  I plan on working in emergent care and feel that Barb as a mentor would allow me to give the best possible care.  As a mentor I would like to learn from Barb:

  • time management.
  • how to work with the staff in the new role I will be taking.
  • best practice for each developmental age
  • best practice of care for emergent and non-emergent patients.

Tiffany Taylor CPNP

Tiffany is a graduate of Ohio State University and currently works at Rocking Horse Center in Springfield, Ohio.  She has been my preceptor over the course of my clinicals and has given me a foundation in developmental milestones and the knowledge of each milestone from birth to young adult.  From well-child visits to sick visits she has worked to help me understand how to manage each visit in the advance practice nurses role.  As a mentor I would like to learn from Tiffany:

  • how to care for all aspects of the patient from birth to young adult.
  • how to work with families to make sure that the child is getting the best care possible.
  • how to continue to expand my patient care as an advance practice nurse.
